New project descriptions are being uploaded during October 2026 for 2027 entry. There will be 38 projects in total, of which 18 will recruit a student. Not all projects are uploaded yet.
If you can see project titles marked ‘private’ please note these projects were offered in previous years, and are not valid for 2027. Please ignore these entries.
We encourage applicants to contact supervisors prior to making an application. Please do not try to make an application on the Leeds system until mid-November – codes will not be available so you will not be able to select the right programme.
You can contact supervisors any time from early October through to late December.
UNRISK encourages project co-development and the shaping of projects around student interests. This means that the supervisory teams of many projects are not yet finalised.
All students will be co-supervised by at least two supervisors.
